Nutrition Vitamins

If, like me, you've trawled the internet for some simple advice on Nutrition Vitamins then this just might be the place for you.

The purpose of this article, like the rest of the site, is to give you clear advice and suggestions that you can easily assimilate into your life.
When many people think of Nutrition Vitamins they think of supplements and tablets. However, if we follow a diet with some nutritional value then we can do without these supplements. More on your health and eating later.
But let’s be realistic. We all led very busy, full-to-brim life where Eating Healthly Food can be overlooked. That’s when Nutrition Vitamins come into play.
For busy men, under stress (I think that pretty much accounts for all men I know), I recommend a daily dose of B Group vitamins. They are readily available in most health, nutritional, health food outlets. These can help you cope with stress and relieve nervous tension. They also help the body convert food into energy.
For busy women (again, this accounts for every woman I know) I’d be looking at a multi vitamin with some added Vitamins and Minerals for vitality. As with the men, try a product rich in B Group vitamins.  They play a vital role in the metabolic processes of the body and help convert food into energy.
Also look for a product with vitamin C and E, iron, zinc and antioxidants.
OK what about the Food you eat?  Sure we don’t all eat Health Food all the time but you’ll be surprised just how much health vitamins you get from everyday foods.
Here’s some quick suggestions:
•    Green anything. Just try to eat foods the colour of green (and no, that doesn’t include green jellybeans unfortunately). Leafy greens, green apples, green tomatoes, green vegetables.  Next time you’re in the grocer just think green.
•    Vitamin rich fruit. Fruit’s a great mid-morning or mid afternoon snack. Apart from giving you some Nutrition Vitamins they put hunger at bay so you can fend off the dreaded cookie.
•    Super foods. These are foods rich in nutrition, vitamins, fibre and minerals. They give you the most bang for your nutrition buck. There’s no definitive list but here’s a good start:

  1. Vegetables - spinach, dark-green lettuces (mignonette, rocket, baby spinach leaves), avocadoes and sweet potato. Remember, vegetables are the dieticians dream.
  2. Carbohydrate rich food - brown rice, barley, wholegrain bread and wholegrain cereals for the most nutrients from every calorie.
  3. Dairy - low-fat milk and low-fat yoghurt.
  4. Proteins - beef steak, pork loin, eggs, salmon, black beans and almonds
  5. Fruits - oranges, grapefruit, kiwi fruit, blueberries and strawberries.

So, you can decide for yourself whether your best of getting your Nutrition Vitamins through supplements or the food you eat. Perhaps start with a supplement while you start to include more nutritious foods into your diet.
Enjoy!
